Still thinking about, fawning over, drawing, playing with, walking with, reading about, petting, brushing, looking at —dogs.

This morning I spun the rest of the roving I’d carded out of George’s fur several months ago. I got so absorbed in the task I burnt the chickpeas boiling on the stove. In the afternoon, I made a pencil crayon drawing of a young cockapoo I’d met in Bowness-on-Solway, at the start of Hadrian’s Wall.

I don’t have much to say today - I’m easing back into life after ~8 months of working 50-60 hours a week, and my brain feels goopy. I’m doing a residency in a couple of weeks and intend to translate feelings into thoughts into words then.
